We have successfully introduced AgentSheets to several schools, from elementary to high school, where students create their own simulations as part of the curriculum in subject areas such as Math, Science and Social Studies.
John Zola is one of the teachers that has used AgentSheets extensively in his social studies classes at New Vista High School, Boulder. Some of his students were invited to present their AgentSheets-based projects at the The Third International Conference on the Learning Sciences (ICLS-98) in Atlanta. With the Social Studies guides, Zola introduces teachers to curriculum material wrapped around five AgentSheets social studies simulations created by high school students in grades 9-12. He provides five classroom activities that include already-created AgentSheets simulations, learning and teaching goals & objectives, materials, time estimates, and in some cases, activity worksheets.
